Vitamin E T-50: Natural Preservative in BullRyder Body Balm™ Pain Relief Formula

Vitamin E T-50 is nature’s perfect antioxidant which makes it the perfect choice as a natural preservative in BullRyder Body Balm™ Pain Relief Formula. Vitamin E T-50 (natural mixed Tocopherols) is a natural, heat stable antioxidant that protects food and cosmetic products from oxidation. Tocopherols prevent oxidation but do not reverse it. Vitamin E is an essential fat-soluble vitamin composed of 8 naturally occurring compounds: the fractions are called alpha, beta, delta, epsilon, eta, gamma and zeta tocopherol, and four other substances called tocotrienols. Although T-50 is non-organic, it qualifies for use in “organic” or “made with organic material” products.

Note: Vitamin E T-50 is the all-natural preservative used in our amazing all-natural BullRyder Body Balm™. Each of the active ingredients in our unique blend has exceptional pain relieving qualities alone but, in combination, the pain relieving qualities of each works synergistically with the others to produce an extraordinary pain relief salve whose unique formula was developed by Dr. Joie Power. The ten active ingredients in our all-natural BullRyder Body Balm™ include Essential Oils of: Balsam Poplar, Sweet Birch, Cajuput, Eucalyptus Globulus, Silver Fir, Helichrysum, Lavender and Plai plus St. John’s Wort Oil and Capsaicin.

Alpha tocopherol in the 250, 1000, and 1400IU/g oils is quite good as an in-vitro anti-oxidant however, studies have shown that the gamma tocopherol in the Vitamin E T-50 oil is a better anti-oxidant for oils/lipids in skin-care formulations. Gamma tocopherol, a component of Vitamin E, is a great antioxidant for protecting cosmetic formulations. T-50 has a higher content of gamma tocopherols and can be used at a rate of .04% or 400ppm (up to .1%) to adequately protect oils. Although Vitamin E T-50 is not an organic product, it is allowed for use in “organic” or “made with organic material” products.

Antioxidants: An anti-oxidant is a preservative that reduces the rate of oxidation in oils that oxidize quickly. Oxidation is a chemical process that occurs when oils or other natural ingredients are exposed to oxygen. Anti-oxidants extend the shelf life of products by reducing the rate of oxidation of the oils.

Vitamin E has long been considered the most important oil-soluble antioxidant and free-radical scavenger with studies indicating that Vitamin E can perform these noted functions when applied topically.
